There are a LOT of people working in this field. And sometimes, we think that all of the moving efforts
can easily become hard to comprehend. These are:

• DEI Consultants
• Social Justice organizations and movements
• Historians, Professors, Authors, Speakers, and Influencers
And then, guess what… there’s also the field or industry of Recruiting that historically has had little to no deeply rooted connection to the above work. And the challenge is that increasing diversity requires the intersection of both industries.
Our work at JTC is at the intersection of these industries. That is the vantage point that we take. Most of the tools that you are being sold today have not intersected at more than one space. The individual may know DEI but know nothing about recruiting (which can be frustrating to a recruiting leader), or the individual may know recruiting but not DEI (which can be frustrating to any initiative to increase diversity). None of it is diversity recruiting. What you will learn today is what it truly takes to increase diversity. And to get there, it has necessitated our firm to immerse ourselves into these two uniquely distinct industries.
